Craft Island is a free mobile game developed by Homa Games. It is an arcade game where you play as a logger whose task is to expand and upgrade an island. To do so, you must cut down trees and exchange the logs for coins. The coins, in turn, will unlock parts of the land.
Despite having the word craft on its title, however, there is minimal crafting and building in Craft Island. What you will do most of the time is to destroy everything on-site, arboreally speaking. Also, since it's free, expect excessive ads popping up as you play.
How do you play this game?
Craft Island is a small indie game that utilizes simple gameplay. As mentioned, you will play as a logger. Your goal is to expand the island you are in by cutting down trees. Then, you will exchange the logs you cut for coins. Both the coins and the woods allow you to put up new structures as you go about expanding the space on the island.
The game equips you with an ordinary ax at the beginning. However, you can unlock powerups to cut down more trees. There is a golden ax, which gives you unlimited damage. It also allows you to knock down all the trees with one swipe. The big ax, meanwhile, lets you reach farther to cut down more trees. Finally, there is a pot of gold, which gives you extra coins.
There are two worlds to explore and upgrade. Each will have increasing levels of trees. With this, the wood gathering will not be tedious. However, each stage will be fairly easy to beat. There is hardly a challenge, and the game can be repetitive over time. Adding to the injury are the excessive ads that will pop up even when you deny the power-up.

Craft Island is a small game that you can almost idle play. The gameplay is simple, and all the levels are easy enough to complete for children to see progress. The graphics are also simple with their colorful and cartoon-like look. However, the lack of challenge makes the game boring and loses its replay value. Overall, it is a casual game that works as a time killer.
